International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde denied on Friday that European Central Bank President Mario Draghi and herself were in negotiations with Spain over a bailout, according to media reports. "As to headlines that Mario Draghi and myself are in deep negotiations [over Spain], I can assure you that we are not," said Lagarde, according to CNBC. A Dutch newspaper, Het Financieele Dagblad reported Friday that talks were taking place over a 300 billion euro rescue ($386 billion). European finance ministers and the IMF were holding meetings in Cyprus on Friday. Spanish Finance Minister Luis de Guindos said Friday that the government needs more details on how the European Central Bank's bond-buying program will work before deciding if it will request a sovereign bailout.
